Litigation Process

Meet Rebecca Blain Morrison

Rebecca Blain Morrison is a passionate advocate for increasing accountability through the legal process – keeping business transactions fair, and ultimately protecting our community and increasing consumer safety.

Between 2008 and 2012, Ms. Morrison and a team of attorneys represented over one hundred individuals against San Diego Gas & Electric for real property losses caused by the catastrophic 2007 wildfires. The team confidentially resolved every claim in favor of their clients. In 2013, Ms. Morrison litigated a mass tort case on behalf of clients who had been defrauded of their real estate investment funds. Without a settlement, Ms. Morrison and her team took the case to trial and obtained a million dollar verdict on behalf of their clients.

The following year, Ms. Morrison successfully represented small business owners in San Diego County for drastic revenue losses they sustained at the hands of a governmental entity, helping her clients to correct their losses and increase government accountability for proper planning and protection of small business interests. In 2014 and 2015, Ms. Morrison and a team of attorneys litigated against the San Diego Association of Governments, and other entities, on behalf of coastal homeowners who suffered significant property damage as a result of a multi-agency sand replenishment project.

Ms. Morrison continues to represent plaintiffs in a wide range of business and real estate disputes, including litigation regarding owners’ and developers’ land use and development rights; eminent domain and inverse condemnation takings claims; claims for lost business profits and trade secret or brand infringement; and insurance claims related to extensive business and real property damage.

Ms. Morrison also continues to represent San Diegans who have suffered serious personal injuries or wrongful deaths as a result of motor vehicle accidents, dangerous road and property conditions, and dangerous and defective consumer products.
